What is Physiology?

 What is Physiology?

In English  word physiology

Origin: French

Physiology, animal or plant, is the branch of science that studies the functioning of cells, tissues and organs in all living things. The science that studies the vital functions of living things and the functioning of their systems. Physiology; It explores the mechanisms of life and living, with the finest details, by going down to the basis of events that take place in the human body or living things. For this reason, there are bacterial physiology, cell physiology, human physiology and many other physiological branches. Human physiology tries to explain all kinds of functions in the human body. The chemical reactions that occur in the cells, the working methods and principles of the nervous system, how the stimuli are received and evaluated by the body, the working mechanisms of the muscles, the circulation of the blood in the vessels, the use of blood in the tissues, It tries to investigate and reveal how the heart and our five senses work, the ability of the kidneys to produce urine and how they are affected by the external conditions of the body, and how many other bodily functions are performed, going down to the cellular and even molecular level. In addition, more interesting branches of physiology have been established, such as "air physiology", which examines the upper layers of the atmosphere and body functions in space, and "underwater physiology", which examines changes occurring underwater. Mankind has been given the ability to live in different conditions on the earth.

It is equipped down to the smallest parts necessary to be able to live and function. Investigation of this enormous structure, full of diverse advantages, in which countless chemical, physical, electrical and finer events take place it amazes and admires the intellectuals and becomes an indication of the creator's might. Physiopathology: Physiopathology examines the mechanisms of events occurring in the organism just like physiology. While physiology examines the normal body, physiopathology examines the mechanisms in the emergence of various diseases. It shows where the disease occurs when the normal mechanism is impaired, and where it can be repaired with intervention. This branch of science, which is very valuable in terms of treatment, explains the reasons for the emergence of diseases to us in the best way. physiopathology examines the mechanisms in the emergence of various diseases. The investigation of this enormous structure, full of various superiorities and in which countless chemical, physical, electrical and finer events take place, amazes and admires those of the mind and becomes an indication of the creator's might.

Since the experts of this science, which is given great importance in developed countries, are very few in our country, unfortunately, sufficient information cannot be given to the requests in most of our Medical Faculties.

What does "physiology" mean in the dictionary?

1. The branch of science that studies the functions of the eyes, tissues and organs of living things and how these tasks are fulfilled.
